This poor little Woodchuck A.K.A.
Groundhog was hit by a car and
dropped off at Dr. Greco's Ridge
office. After receiving medical
treatment from Dr. Greco he was
turned over to us for rehabilitation.
After three weeks of care he was
released back into the wild.
We received a rescue call Easter
Day for a Barn Owl with a wing
injury. We rescued this beautiful
Owl and brought it into Dr. Greco's
Ridge Office where x-rays were
given along with an exam. It was
learned the Owl suffered a minor
break in the wing. Dr Greco placed
the Owl under anti-inflammatory
and antibiotic treatment. The Owl is
now under rehabilitation and
making progress.
This poor little squirrel had made a nest in a shed. The home owner used a blow in foam insulation to drive the squirrel out. The night of the blizzard we received the rescue
call. When I got to the house in Selden, there frozen in hardened foam on a tree was this squirrel. Dr. Greco removed the foam from the squirrels face and ears. After 2 1/2
months of rehabilitation this little guy was released as good as new.
Baby squirrels of all
ages find their way to
Dr. Greco. Victims of
trees being cleared,
animal attacks,
parents being killed
receive a check up and
a warm place to sleep
while his staff looks for
placement with a
Wildlife Rehabilitator.
Little  bunnies  are  victims of lawn  mowers , dogs , cats ,
hawks and owls. It is nice to know that when the mother no
longer  is  around  to  care  for these cute little guys, care and
shelter is only a phone call away.
